Video Poker is a favored game that is able to be bet on in casinos throughout the globe, or in your house on your PC, through a net account. The game rules are very simple and consist of the player attempting to achieve the highest mixture of cards achievable in order to come away with money. In this respect it’s much the same as a classic game of poker, minus the interaction with other players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the bettor inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the deal button. A hand of 5 cards will then be electronically ‘given out’ on the video screen.

The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and gamblers should now decide which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, whether it is all or none.

After the bettor has chosen which cards he would like to retain, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards are needed they will be handed out. The round is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.

Typically, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can range from machine to machine, so that skillful bettors are agile enough to select the most money-making ones every instance.

After the initial round has played out, the player can either decide to remain on and try to to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that might have been won. Additionally, a few versions of the game allow the player a chance to increase their winnings, in which case a further hand is played. There are also differences among individual machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
